Well, not so fast. Once upon a time, dogs were allowed to run free, returning home at the end of a long
day that included chasing small creatures, tracking scents, swimming in creeks, and napping under the porch. Dogs were not
spayed or neutered, as a rule, and the thought of paying money to a vet for anything other than a life threatening injury
was unthinkable. Boarding your dog while on vacation was unheard of!
Times have changed.
Dogs now live in our homes, in very close proximity to us. This can lead to
misunderstandings when human behavior meets dog behavior.
